You dont say which version of Basecamp or MapInstall you were using, but Basecamp 4.7 comes with MapInstall 4.2, which is known to cause problems.

All the maps above installed including the OSMs, as separate compiled img files.and they all have the full detail levels. Solution: used compiler/installer in last version of Mapsource, v6.16.2.
